There has hardly been a time in the past when Nurses and Midwives have been so necessary.  The shortage due to the global pandemic has highlighted how truly valued these roles are.  With the government putting up further funds to train many more nurses – of all types, there’s never been a better time to undertake training for this very worthwhile and lifelong career.     Nursing and midwifery are very regulated careers and as such in the UK nursing education and training programmes have to be approved by the nursing and midwifery council and royal colleges for either/both.   However, although formal training is generally gained via university course, there are means of achieving accreditation with relevant learning and formal certified learning such as an access course and practice based work.  Online courses are the perfect way to get the up front knowledge to enable access to a nursing career.   Also, online courses will assist someone wanting to become a nurse via the apprenticeship scheme.
